Aim
This course aims to provide the training for candidates in accordance with Part A of the STCW Code in the standard of training ,certification and Watch keeping for seafarers Conventions 2010as amended and to achieve those standards set out in chapterVI Table A –VI / 3
Scope & Objective
The syllabus covers the requirements of the STCW Convention2010 as amended Chapter VI, Section A- VI/ 3.On meeting theminimum standard of competence in Advance Fire Fighting , theofficer will be competent to take appropriate measure for thesafety of personnel and of the ship and to use fire appliance correctly.

Entry Standards
The course is open to all seafarers who have done fire prevention & fire Fighting Courses. The Course must be completed prior toemployment on a sea going ship joining as Navigating Watch keeping officer. All Trainees must be certified by a doctor to bein good health.
Medical Standard
As per M.S (Medical Examination for seafarers) Rules 2000 asamended from time to time.
Course Certificate
On successful completion of the course & demonstration of competence, a certificate will be issued certifying that the holder has met the standard of competence specified in Table A –VI/3 of STCW 2010 as amended .
Intake
Not Above 30 per class
Required Attendance
100% attendance is required for successful completion of the Course. However, in exceptional circumstances the relaxation can be given for genuine reasons.

Exam
A test will be conducted on completion of the Course
Certificate
After Successfully completion and Passing of Exam A certificate will be issued to the Student certifying that he has successfully completed the Course.
