Aim
This course aims to provide training for candidates to launch and take charge of fast rescue boat in accordance with STCW Code in the standard of training ,certification and Watch keeping for seafarers Conventions as amended in 2010 and to achieve those standards set out in Section A VI/2 and Table A -VI/2-2 .
Scope & Objective
On completion of the course the learner/trainee will be competent to handle and take charge of rescue boats during and after launch in adverse weather and sea conditions . They will also be able to operate fast rescue boat engine. The knowledge, understanding and proficiency should include Section A VI/2 and Table A-VI/2-2.

Entry Standards
Trainees undertaking this course should be the holder of Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boat other than Fast rescue Boats in accordance with regulation VI/2 paragraph 1.All Trainees must be certified by a doctor to be in good health.
Medical Standard
As per M.S (Medical Examination for seafarers) Rules 2000 as amended from time to time.
Course Certificate
On successful completion of the course & demonstration of competence, a certificate will be issued certifying that the holder has met the standard of competence specified in Section A VI/2 and Table A-VI/2-2 of STCW 2010 .
Intake
Not Above 20 per class
Required Attendance
100% attendance is required for successful completion of the Course. However, in exceptional circumstances the relaxation can be given for genuine reasons.

A test will be conducted on completion of the Course
Certificate
After Successfully completion and Passing of Exam A certificate will be issued to the Student certifying that he has successfully completed the Course.
