Aim
This course aims to meet the mandatory minimum requirements for seafarers for familiarization, basic safety training and Instruction in accordance with Section A-VI/1-4 of STCW Code 1995 as amended in 2010..
Scope & Objective
The course is intended to provide the knowledge required for seafarers with designated duties to perform their duties in accordance with requirements of Chapter XI-2 of SOLAS 74 as amended, the ISPS code and section A-VI/6 of the STCW 1995 code as amended in 2010. The knowledge shall include :- - Maritime Security Policy
- Security responsibilities
- Ship Security Assessment
- Threat Identification, recognition and response
- Ship Security Actions
- Emergency preparedness and drills
- Security Administration
- Anti-Piracy
- Pirate Attack.

Entry Standards
The candidate should not be less than 16 Year.All trainees must be certified by doctor, to be in good health.
Medical Standard
As per M.S (Medical Examination for seafarers) Rules 2000 as amended from time to time.
Course Certificate
A course certificate will be awarded to the candidate certifying the candidate duly qualified with the provision of regulation STCW Table A-VI/6-1 of the STCW convention.
Intake
Not Above 30 per class
Required Attendance
100% attendance is required for successful completion of the Course. However, in exceptional circumstances the relaxation can be given for genuine reasons

80 % or Above

Sundays & Govt. Holidays
Exam
A test will be conducted on completion of the Course
Re Exam
The Student will be given two more attempts if score below 80 %. In case if the student fails to get 80 % or above he needs to Join the Courseas Fresh.
Certificate
After Successfully completion and Passing of Exam A certificate will be issued to the Student certifying that he has successfully completed the Course.
